Here’s a little bit about HDR: At HDR we use Autologic diagnostic equipment to quickly and effectively pinpoint where any concerns may stem from! We are members of Auto Solutions and MTA because we are not only committed to industry excellence but care about making sure that you and your vehicle gets the best service possible.
We can look after all your vehicle’s servicing requirements to keep you on the road, including WOF.
How We Look After You
Our friendly Receptionist, Debbie, will book your vehicle in and make arrangements with you. You will be advised of anything the technicians discover while we check your vehicle because we want to make sure you are safe and prevent the stress and inconvenience of your vehicle failing you.
You can always talk to Richard, the boss, he’s really a lovely guy!

β β β β β I have a VW transporter. I have had multiple marginal experiences with the local VW dealer. My engine warning light came on. HDR explained what possible problems and outcome could be. They managed expectations well before they took on the vehicle. They did a diagnostics check and ordered parts and took the vehicle in again after parts arrived. They printed a report of the vehicle computer to show problem resolved. The problem has been fixed. All for under nzd250. Outstanding job!
In my experience the service , duration and cost for an identical problem at the dealer would have been less satisfactory. Great job all. I will come back for return business!

β β β β β Spoke to Richard (owner) a week ago re my faulty rear car door latch, after they were highly recommended to myself by another automotive electrician. I asked for a quote for the repair work, which Richard advised "erm, half hour to an hours labour to take the door off..... depending on what the issue is, worst case scenario would be $200 for the part. If the part costs more than this then it won't be worth us sourcing a new part and we will get a second hand one". So, I confirmed "so $200 for the parts and then the cost of the labour... around $300 all up?" To which Richard agreed would most likely be worst case scenario IF they had to replace the latch. Booked it in for a week later. to then be given an invoice for $742 when I collect my car..... you can imagine my shock when it was $442 more than quoted (more then double). When I questioned what he had quoted me Richard shrugged his shoulders and said "it was just a figure off the top of my head, I didn't know what it would cost".... I explained that this wasn't what he had indicated and had agreed it would be no more than $300. After I refused to pay the price, Richard eventually waived the labour, but it still cost me $520... I walked away feeling deceived and upset! They have just lost a new customer and other potential customers too due to their dishonesty..... my husband works hard as the main income provider for our young family, and so we budget every dollar we spend so more than double the cost of the quote for our car repair is food off the table for our little ones. Thanks for your dishonesty and untrustworthy nature....

β β β β β Absolutely fantastic and easy mannered service! Have always dealt with HDR and would not go to anyone else. Had a tricky check engine light fault that kept coming up and caused my ute to lose power. The team at HDR promptly sourced the part required and fitted it. No problems since! Thanks guys

β β β β β Not a professional behaviour. Reception lady is too rude and aggressive. Doesn't listen at all, impatient not matured lady. When I was telling about a problem she said you only booked for WOF, amd they will find any WOF related problem. But while booking I clearly mentioned my car has some noise from engine. She refused me as I am lying. Than I opened my email and showed the email confirmation where my note clearly mentioned above the noise.
They passed the WOF, but right headlight not replaced. And I have to go again to fix this.

β β β β β Had a few issues with my car and mice chewing electrical wires. HDR sorted the problem and did it quickly and with no hassle. Everyone was real good to deal with, the communication was great. Happy as to deal with them again in future.

β β β β β Disappointed with professionalism from lady at desk. After informing her I could obtain a part cheaper elsewhere she became snarky informing me when I requested HDR complete works to get warrant that I may like to take it out of town to the cheaper place. I had just spent just under 1k with you, maybe not a lot of money for you but a lot for me.
