★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved my evening at He Puna Taimoana! The sessions were all booked up, but it was great to be able to book in advance online & organise local community cards online as well.
The pools are fantastic! We loved the range of temperatures, and even attempted the plunge pool for a few seconds. The view from the top pool to the ocean is something that hotels and pools all around the world fight for.
The accessible design from day dot is noticed, and I especially loved the equipment out for any wheelchair or disabled folks ready to be used to help them in the pools. The railing with LED strips underneath were not missed - a fantastic design feature across the pools.
The staff were extremely friendly and it was just such a well run product. Highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very limited amount of pools and even on a Monday night with a lot of booking spots left it felt crowded. Would have been better to go mid afternoon maybe? I don't know. But the view and day was perfect so couldn't skip it. Bathrooms and lockers are excellent and modern. Everything was clean even though it was the last session of the day and after a busy weekend.
Must say, it was very odd being that close to that many people without masks since I hadn't actually attended anything social like that since
before covid started, and I quite enjoyed people watching again after all this time.
You're definitely better off starting in the colder pools, doing some slow laps to stay warm then migrating to the hot pools as people overheat there and move away. Everyone initially flocked to the hot pools with the view so this strategy worked well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a very pleasant visit, the friendly reception staff explained that there had been a power cut so the pools were a bit cooler than normal which was nice of them to say. To be honest if they hadn't said anything i wouldn't have noticed the pools were still very warm and pleasant. Steam room and sauna were very nice, the whole place was very clean but the highlight was sitting in the top pool with a view of the ocean watching the surfers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a wonderful place to spend a hour or two pays to make a reservation first before coming well worth going especially the steam room and the sauna room I feel replenished and a million dollars a good price manged to get in for $10 as someone left early had an hour and it was well worth it

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love these pools! So nice that it's not over crowded (bookings and a max number of people at any time mean it's never super busy). Very clean and tidy, great facilities, and enough pools of different temperatures to keep everyone happy. The coolest (33-36deg I think?) pool is great on a summer day with my toddler, she loves it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A lovely place to lounge in the hot Pools while looking over the beach and ocean. I particularly loved doing the sauna, cold dunk, steam room, cold dunk a few times around. We enjoyed the experience a lot and due to a low entry fee there is no reason not to return regularly.

Enjoy them and they're affordable.
Really clean changing area, not overcrowded, I hope this doesn't change when we return to life as normal after covid.
I would like to see the sauna temperature increased, and a thermometer in there, it's a large area with a lot of people coming in and out, heat loss is constant. It's not very hot as far as dry saunas go.
The plunge pool temperature could be regulated and kept at a consistent temperature.
These pools are definitely worth a visit.
