About HEDGE Garden Design & Nursery
Rachael has been working as a designer & grower for about 17 years. She has degrees in law & commerce, and before children she worked in various legal and business management roles. After kids - she traded in her high heels for steel tips, and moved outside. She gained a Certificate in Landscape Construction (Merit) from Weltec; and completed a Landscape Design Masterclass with Rosemary Alexandar's English Gardening School.
Rachael has won several awards for her designs: • Gold Medal & Supreme Award, Ellerslie International Flower Show 2013 • Gold Medal & Emerging Designer of the Year, Ellerslie International Flower Show 2012 • Winning Innovative Garden Designs & Use of Plants, Wellington Botanic Garden 2006 & 2010
Rachael is a consulting designer to the Wellington Botanic Garden, and is currently working on several projects to transform the garden's collections.
We belong to the NZ Society of Garden Design, and the NZ Industry Association of Plant Producers.
