About Hiflo Pumps & Irrigation Lttd
We are an affiliated trainer for the New Zealand Certificate in Dairy Systems (Engineering), focusing on the Pumping Systems strand. This is an apprenticeship that focuses on pumping systems, and bridges the gap between Plumbing & Electrical apprenticeships, that don’t offer a core focus on the engineering side involved in pump systems.
The employment pathway for this apprenticeship looks to equip graduates with the skills to be a pumping systems technician, this involves being able to design, install, repair and maintain reticulation systems, water and farm dairy effluent systems, irrigation systems and pumping systems in the agricultural industry.
We also encourage our graduates to further upskill and study to become a registered electrical technician, which allows them to be multi-faceted in their skillset.
This apprenticeship takes 3-4 years and no previous experience or training is required. During the training our apprentices also gain their site safe, confined space entry and forklift license qualifications.
