★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very disappointed. Ordered fish and chips for 6.15 turned up about 6.20 and they hadn't even started cooking. Asked when it would be ready, just got told "soon". Others that order AFTER us got their food BEFORE us. Finally got our food 35 minutes after the time we ordered it for. Not well drained and well over salted

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First timers to Hilltop and we were not disappointed at all. My husband is gluten free and he enjoyed his fish very much. Beautiful nice sized battered fish. Chips well drained and very little grease. The buffet was scrumptious and there was a variety to choose from. Definitely a place we will continue to return too. Customer service was excellent and wasn't waiting to long for order. Thank you very much ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We don't live in Wanganui, but when we come to town and they are open before we leave we call in there to buy our lunch. The best fish and chips ever, never had a bad meal from them. The staff are always happy and polite, the shop is clean and the food is delicious. What more can you ask for.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fish and chips tasted ok, 6-10. Phoned order in and was ready when expected, 10-10. Portion size fish, small to average, 5-10. Portion size chips, very small, 3-10. Price vet high for Wanganui $16 for 2 fish +2 chips, 2-10. Overall 26-50 very dissapointing.
Thanks for the response and acknowledging mix up and the over charging. You have not however offered to put it right. I would be happy to change my review based on another experience if you would like to redo my order within the next week.
