★ ★ ★ ★ ★ China Palace Restaurant - what can I say? Fronted by an amicable proprietor named Ken, this Gisborne staple is a must-visit. All of their dishes are authentic, delicious and great for sharing. Cocktails are a China Palace speciality - cheap and high alcohol content. Just don't try to take it from Ken before he delivers it to the table. Many happy returns!
