Manukau’s own ‘bridge to nowhere’: a concrete bridge built in 1930 when it was planned to move the Dilworth School to this site. The plans were abandoned in 1952 and the bridge has stood in isolation and unused ever since.
Temporary used as a driveway connection of the farmers house on a hill with Great South road.
It has decorations, adequate designed. Looks like a heritage bridge, but doesn't have any status.
The nice deep trench of Puhinui Stream passing under it surrounded with honey smelly native bush and trees.
