★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came here even though we heard it was a bit more expensive because we wanted good service for our nice car. Mechanics didn't listen to us and damaged the car then turned around and asked us to pay for what they had broken. And this was only after we discovered the damage and had to chase them and follow up to try and fix the issue. Extremely inconvenient to receive a car in worse condition after it has been serviced than it was before the service.

The place I used before Hometune were far dearer with their prices. If you are thinking of using Hometune give it a try you wont be disappointed an all done in the convenience of your own home. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our car wouldn’t start and I thought it would take ages to sort out. Within half an hour of phoning Hometune, Rod was at our house and he quickly diagnosed a problem with the starter motor. He then sourced a replacement for a reasonable price, went and got it and installed it right there and then. In the space of two and a half hours we went from woah to go. Fantastic service, thanks!

I had a brand new battery that flattened after 10mins running. Called hometune and explained situation. Technician arrived and Diagnosis after 2 mins was you have a flat battery, he couldn't start car and told me to charge the battery and it will go. installed another brand new battery and the car still will not start. Asked Hometune to come back and either start or give accurate diagnosis i.e. complete the service I had already paid $129 for. Told I needed a fully charged battery for them to come back and there would be further cost of$59 per half hour. ummmm who do you call when your battery is flat???? I responded that I had already paid $129 and the diagnosis from Hometune was incorrect, I had not received the original service I had paid for. Hometune said they hadnt installed the battery and didnt know the history and there was obviously something else wrong. Yes, that is my point but what is it and how do I proceed to get it fixed? Really!! how many cars do they work on where they have installed the battery and know the history of the car?
The Hometune web states they can isolate and fix all electrical problems, they are highly qualified and experienced and they will diagnose all electrical faults. SIMPLY NOT SO.
Hometune Guarantee no. 5. If you are not satisfied with the work undertaken we will return and put it right to your satisfaction at no extra cost. AGAIN THIS IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dante called ahead, arrived on time. Checked he could get the part I needed and did a really good job of replacing the alternator. No hassles and all done within a couple of hours. Yassss no hassles to get the car towed and organizing pickup from a garage. Plus he gave some good advice on car maintenance. Stellar!
