The ambiance was nice but overall we left feeling disappointed. The food was bland and the tofu bao buns were inedible. No one asked us how we found our meal, the service could be best described as awkward and we left 40 minutes after arriving. We ordered a selection of items but didn’t overly enjoy a single order. If you’re looking for a nice Asian meal I could recommend a number of different establishments. I personally wouldn’t return or recommend.

I am extremely disappointed in my experience dining here. They charged us 140 dollars to bring our own cake. We had asked if there was a cover charge for this prior to coming and were told it was 7-10 dollars. They did not disclose it was actually 10 dollars per person. We realised this after we had paid the bill. When we asked about it they were extremely rude, and after refusing to really talk to us about it and explain why it was that expensive (apparently a licensing issue?) they put it down to 50 dollars. The staff were rude and dismissive. The food was also flavourless and not enjoyable, I only ate it because I was hungry. I would avoid this place!

I used to really love coming to hot sauce back in 2017-2018 the food was amazing and full of flavour, now I’m always disappointed when I come in. Last night was probably the worst experience. Food came out extremely undercooked. The aubergine on the skewers was raw, the cauliflower was extremely oily and the chicken skewers tasted bland and like it had just been reheated and put on the plate. I would really recommend looking back at what the old chef did to the menu when you guys first opened up because not only were you guys much busier, but had a better reputation too. Changes need to happen.

$140 for a cake?!?! Let me start at the beginning. 14 of us went here to celebrate our friends 21st birthday, and unfortunately left feeling very disappointed. We had brought a cake in 2 hours earlier, and were told that it was a $7-10 cover charge for them to keep the cake and bring it out. They brought the cake out on top of the thin cardboard box it was stored in, and it was very awkward to get it off the box to cut it (which my friend did herself). They then only provided a few plates, and most of us ate off our napkins. When we were finished, our friend took care of the bill (apparently we could not each pay for our own items), and upon checking the receipt she discover we had been charged $10 PER PERSON for the cake, totalling $140. Please note this was a $20 cake, probably around 10cm in diameter. We alerted the staff as we assumed this must have been some sort of mistake. They assured us that this in fact was correct, and apparently was to cover some sort of licensing requirement?? What a yarn. They finally agreed to reimburse $90, but were extremely rude and dismissive. What an awful way to treat a bunch of people trying to celebrate a 21st birthday. Food was average, service was awkward. The situation is almost laughable.

I went for dinner at Hot Sauce yesterday with my partner and some friends. The food was delicious and the plates generous, a good size for sharing I would say. The service was great, our waitress was very nice and prepared. I will definitely go back again. Highly recommended!

Came with good expectations but sorely disappointed. Every item we ordered was either bland or overpowered by one flavour. We also came to the conclusion that we were charged over 10$ for a bottle of sparkling water that is no more than 5$ in the store...once our food arrived staff were practically invisible. If you want to take your leftovers home you'll be paying $3 for 1 takeaway container (I'm all about eco friendly, but perhaps have it on the website so people can bring their own items). Sadly don't recommend ? atmosphere is nice and some staff were quite kind.

Impressively large (espetada size) skewers. Asia-punk style atmosphere. Service decent if a little casual for the price. Wide selection of pan-asian cuisine options from sashimi to rendang curry. Definitely worth a trip!

Awesome atmosphere. Was recommended to try this place and so pleased we did. Staff were excellent. Lots of options for seating. Food was delicious, made for sharing. Great selection of drinks. Also had an outdoor area which I imagine would be a great spot in the Summertime. Would definitely go back again.
