Went here recently - items were highly overpriced for very poor quality. Would not recommend. Many other shops in Wellington that sell better quality for lower price!

Great collection, but very expensive. Their glass domes in particular were overpriced compared to other suppliers of the exact same quality.

Worst experience I have had in a very long time... My wife had wanted to buy something in this shop for a very long time and wanted to get photos of some things for friends overseas for Christmas gifts and we get told "no photos allowed" which would of been fine if we had been asked without an attitude but instead you said it in a very rude and agro manner... When asked why... The response was "I am an animal activist"... No you are not, you are arrogant!! You can't be much of an acitvist if you sell taxidermy that is in perfect condition. Completely stupid my wife loves this kind of thing if you have of been more professional I guarantee you would have got a sale from us - if not on that day certainly in the future.

There are some very odd one star reviews that don't ring true. I've been a customer for many years, and this is one of the quirkiest, most interesting stores in Wellington. Yes some things can be expensive but there are items for every price point and the high end things are beautiful and well presented.

Great little shop full of taxidermy and other quirky bits for purchase, from big to small. We only bought a framed butterfly for 79NZD which seemed reasonable to us, but they have much larger items in the thousands of dollars range. All animals have died from natural causes except the rats, bats and peacocks quick are culled. Having seen examples of 'bad' taxidermy these are certainly of a high quality! We were concerned with exporting such items but apparently they have not had any issues in the past, and provide a certificate of origin and a contact number should any authorities be concerned.

B&CO is a well curated and interesting store with lots of goodies that you can't find elsewhere, especially in Wellington. The selection changes often, and the entire store is an experience in itself. I've found some great finds here that I treasure to this day. The prices reflect quality and uniqueness - if you're looking mass produced, cheap stuff, stick to Kmart. Some very strange 1 star reviews here, including some with no explanation. As for those complaining about the 'no photo' rule, it is clearly signposted.

Lovely store but the guy was very rude. I got yelled at for taking one photo. The guy was very agro and said there was a "massive sign" but since I was signing in with the covid tracer I didnt see it. I apologized profusely and even deleted the photo but he continued to get loud and made me cry. Im a young girl in her 20s and obviously didnt seem like I was worth enough to be his customer. The other staff girls were lovely and really wanted to help me and looked rather sad and sorry that he was being so aggressive (and judging from the other reviews this is common). I feel bad for them, certainly was traumatic for me.
