★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a flexitarian vegan adjacent foodie, I find it’s so hard to get a good burger…. Until I found this place. Very nice chicken burgers and a generally warm tone from the staff, so warm that the chips were still radiating heat upon my return home. Shame about the location, Seatoun’s a far way to bike from Thorndon, but worth it nonetheless!
Highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was all good, decent portions. But the wait was huuuuge, longer than most fish and chip shops even when they're super busy. They forgot a piece of fish in our order after already waiting 30 minutes, and so we also had to pay and wait for that. Prices are super expensive! Cost nearly twice as much as any other place I've ever been to. Not sure I'd go here again just due to the cost and wait time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a gem. Super, super generous portions - feels like a fish and chip place of yesteryear. And they are so great with phone orders and pick up - just tell them how long til you want your food and it's always fresh and ready. Five stars isn't a high enough rating for these guys.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On my first visit I only got thick cut chips which are amazing, but I kept seeing people come and take away burgers so knew I had to come back to try one myself.
I went here for the second time last weekend and got a fish burger - it was quite possibly the best fish burger I have ever eaten in my life. We will definitely be back again for more fish burgers!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great fish, great chips. We ordered Thick chips and Kumara fries as well, both were delish, our fish was good too, crunchy but not over coated. Our burgers, 1x fish & 1x chicken were a little lack luster. Don't get me wrong they were great sizes and the vege patty was a nice touch, kudos for that but IMO needed more flavor punch. ie could the salad be swapped for coleslaw? and the chicken be ACTUAL chicken rather than an inghams tender? Food for thought (pun intented).
