★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Richard and Kenny were very informative when it came to Nissan Leafs. I had only decided to purchase a Nissan Leaf on the 28th of June. Popped into HVS on the 30th and made a deposit to purchase a Leaf.
They knew the difference of the models and explained things that I did not understand initially. Making my decision makings easy and fast - closing a deal within 30minutes of visiting the car yard.
These guys deserve a meal from me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recently bought a Nissan Leaf from HVS Electric and Max and the team were amazing and professional. They were always there to answer my questions, allowed me to test drive a vehicle for as long as I needed to understand the EV, informed me whenever I needed to know something like battery updates/information but also there was no pressure from them on me to buy the vehicle.
They made the whole process easy and informative for me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Initially I was a little skeptical about buyer from HVS as their pricing was very sharp, which made me suspect a lower quality import, however, so far I am very happy with it. From the outset Max was extremely helpful and I can't speak highly enough of him. He offered to help us find the best car, regardless of whether we purchased from him or not. He offered honest advice and was extremely helpful. There were a few things that needed to be sorted after we purchased the car and to date he has been very good to deal with to resolve these minor issues. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Seems to cover several blocks across several streets! Disappointed that we were told we would need to " modify" the 110v Japanese phv charging cable before it could be used. In fact the correct NZ voltage charging cable is available from a company a few blocks away, and the car sales should supply this with plug in hybrid vehicles, for safety reasons at least!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Below average communication. We bought the car from another city the same day we enquired about it. We were told contradicting stories on more than one occasion and then received an awful, sarcastic and belittling email. I wouldn’t recommend this dealership to anyone. Unprofessional, rude and quite frankly Mickey Mouse business from the get go. Our car sale had the potential to be the easiest $20,000+ they’ve made but chose to make it as difficult as can be.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly staff but otherwise hopeless, ended up buying a car somewhere else. We were trying to trade in a car. When I called back for the quote tried for 3 days to call and could not get through on the phone. When I emailed I got a call back and a promise would get a quote out that day. I have not heard back from anyone since.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Purchased our first EV last Thursday, for our replacement second car, a 2016 Nissan Leaf 30X. Initially dealt with James but he was away nearer the sale day then Max took over and was very helpful from start to finish. As an out of town buyer here in Nelson I was totally reliant on good honest information and was not disappointed. After flying down I collected the car met Max who explained all I needed to know and then drove back to Nelson.
Once home I shared my journey and charge points with Max to help future customers. Both he and Tom have been super helpful after pick up with any questions I have.
Overall a very easy process and professional.

Max and Tom were excellent in helping us get our first EV.
Max talked to us about our needs and told us what things to look for in a Leaf, which we eventually did. He was happy to even check cars from other dealers and recommend them.
Tom was also helpful during inspection and handover despite it not being his sale. We are looking forward to enjoying the EV!
