About I Sew 4 U
With Toni's Mother and both Grandmothers all been able to sew it was in no doubt she was going to follow in their footsteps. After coming top in the class at High School Clothing and Textiles she decided to attend Design Academy to learn Patternmaking and Advanced Sewing skills. After receiving her Diploma in Apparel Design and Construction she was immediately employed by Veronica Peppers of "Veronica Peppers Original Designs" (past winner of Benson and Hedges Young Designer of the Year) as her sewing assistant. Toni has also worked as a Clothing Cutter and Sample Machinist but her love of sewing lead her back to her roots and join forces with her mum.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shirley was really lovely to deal with, and would be great at smaller bridal alterations. However I engaged Shirley to re-create my dream wedding dress from scratch, and Shirley was not able to recreate the dress to my expectations. In the end i was happy with the bodice of my dress, but went to Megs Tailoring to make large amends to the skirt before the wedding. Additionally, having tried on various store-bought wedding dresses, her finishing inside and outside the dress is not of the same quality. Unfortunately I know of one other person that had this exact experience and turned to Megs Tailoring also.
I recommend Shirley for bridal alterations as she is extremely experienced, but wouldn't recommend for complicated from-scratch wedding gowns.

My wedding dress came out fantastic and the alterations were professional. I also enjoyed chatting with Shirley and the whole experience dealing with her. I couldn't recommend them enough!

The dress was fitted perfectly to my body, and looked so much better than when I first tried it on. They're truly professionals - Shirley made me feel comfortable, beautiful, and provided expert advice on how to elevate the dress. Plus their pricing is transparent and reasonable! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely mother daughter team, I needed to get my old ball dress taken in, they were very honest saying it may not be worth it. Instead of pushing me to do it anyway they suggested I go to a particular outlet store for a new dress and I ended up with 5! Will definitely come to these lovely ladies again for any need in the future :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shirley is such a friendly lady. I bought a wedding dress from Xian Bridal. The size was perfect but just too long. I took the dress to Shirley to trim the hem. Due to her never ending works, we scheduled to pick up my dress in 2 weeks’ time. But she managed to get it done within a week and I was able to pick up after 1 week. It was such a nice surprise and I was so happy. Her rate is fair and reasonable. I couldn’t be more happier to have her to trim the dress.
