★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shhhhhhhhh. Don't tell too many people otherwise I might not get a seat here. We are super stoked to have such an amazing local restaurant. The food here is really good. Far better than a little Japanese in Rothesay Bay would normally be. We especially love the Ugly Karaage Chicken but everything we have had has been excellent.
On our last visit we had the dinner set and my oh my. So much food! At $50 per head it might not be a normal mid-week option but it was so worth it.
Our son really loves the inside out Salmon maki and this is a winner also. The wasabi is very good quality which lifts the sushi offering.
The wine list is well chosen. There is Asahi on tap. The staff, especially the young female owner (I think she is anyway??) are personable, warm and knowledgeable.
There is so much to like. And it's my local. Yay!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The service and food at Ichigo Ichie is just wonderful. The food and drinks menu are both quality. The dishes we had were soooo good. I can't believe we have been missing out all this time as it's taken us this long to find what is in our own backyard. I would recommend to all.

Soft shell crab, Teriyaki Chicken.... AMAZING!

Turns out to have a very nice customer service, interior, atmosphere, food, representation, portion… loved more than I expected. I had Katsu chicken and Sasimi Don. Would like to come back again.

We thoroughly enjoyed every meal we tasted, and explored some really interesting Sake tasting!
