β β β β β About 1 year I was asked by My manager if I could do a presentation on a sales course that she was attending. Her task was to ask one of her team to do a small presentation on our company and what we did as a business. Well little did I realise at that point that the presentation was to a group of New Zealandβs top Sales leaders. Talk about being stitched up! After the presentation each leader had to give feedback on how the presentation went, there was positive feedback and some great constructive feedback, but at no point did these people make feel awkward about how it went.
Later that Day I asked my manager about the course and expressed some interest, I asked what the possibility of being able to enrol myself was. Lucky enough my Employer (Fletcher building) allowed me to enrol on Sales indicator. Going into sales indicator I was confident in my ability to sell to our customers within the Steel distribution sector; however, I had no strategy and little experience in how to Improve my sales tactics.
The course is lead by two extremely educated and well experienced facilitators, who take what you already have as a talent or skill and turn it in to an incredible strength giving more strategy to your sales tactics, each week a group of us get together in a zoom Meeting, we discuss the current market we work in, the Economy and what we see happening around us, its great to be able compare sales information around and understand how other companies are selling in todayβs market.
Once every two months Sales indicator holds an all groups session that is usually led by a guest speaker, the first all groups session I attended was based on Body language of someone in Sales and how to correctly present yourself to you customer. This was brilliant and I certainly walked away from this session with many new ideas and a basic understanding of how body language is so important in the first 2 minutes of meeting a potential client.
I have loved being an attendee of this course and would happily recommend to anyone questioning whether to join or not.
You will not be disappointed with their vast knowledge of the industry, no matter what level of sales you are, these gents can teach you something!
