★ ★ ★ ★ ★ NOTE. In March 2019, the main Intercity bus stop moved from Halsey Street to Moray Place. Reviews may refer to the Halsey Street location.
The Moray Place location is a much more convenient location - much more central, and very close to the bus hub which virtually all Dunedin buses go through. However it is simply a bus stop. There are a couple of standard bus shelters, and there are no 'dedicated' toilets. You stand (sit if you are lucky), and wait.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The bus stop was fine. However the experience with intercity was not. Had booked a ticket to the dunedin airport going from oamaru. Bus drove straight past the airport turn off. When I spoke with the driver I was told that I wasn't on the manifest and that I had failed to check in, yet I had been on the bus since oamaru and no one bothered to ring or check my ticket. Driver pulled over and I ended having to walk for over an hour to the airport.
