β β β β β I don't recommend this company at all. Most costly electrical service I have ever had.
Booked 4 hours work initially, then changed to 8 hours from 8am in the morning, because lots work needed to be done. Nobody turned up until we called at 9am and we were informed they got emergency job before us.
2 electricians turned up after 10am. And finished job below (can see from invoice as well):
1. Installed x2 new PowerPoints in the front bedroom, yet to install the RCD.
2. Replaced PowerPoint in bedroom.
3. Cut hole in wall ready to move bathroom switch into bathroom.
4. Asbestos switchboard.
Recommend upgrading, customer will let us know what they would like.
Basically the job done were just 2 PowerPoint in the bedroom and cutting a hole in the bathroom wall, shown as photos.
I did not ask them to replace the existing PowerPoint in the bedroom and they did not ask me if they needed to do so, but they did and I have been charged.
They left around 2pm as they said they had another job booked after.
Bill as you can see, $925, which is ridiculous for me.
In their previous email sent on Wednesday 02/06/2021 15:41, we are told that "Apprentice Labour $58.50 + GST per hour with 1 hour minimum", but in the invoice Luke's labour cost is $64.00 + GST.
Invoice is dated 30/Jun, but was not sent to us until 05/July and we need to pay it by 07/July, which means we only have 2 days to pay the bill, not as what you state online, 7 days.
Received a well presented box with a chocolate bar, pen, note pads and magnet inside on the second day after they finished job. I'm not happy for receiving it, as the money is from customers and I'm not willing to pay for this kind souvenir.
Hope people do bit more research before booking with them. I do feel they spend lots money on their own marketing and charge more money from customers.

β β β β β Electricians were professional and did a good job. Pricing wise, they rip you off. Charged $145 per socket (with USB) which is twice the price I could get them for (non trade price), yet they claim to charge cost price. I would supply my own material as they WILL charge you double the actual cost. When I queried I was provided with a photoshopped image of an order page, claiming that is the cost they pay.

Great Service, fast and efficient, no mucking around. Just Awesome work. Update 8/9/2020 Thankyou Jeremy for the work you did this Morning and for setting up of the pendulum lights its Awesome.

β β β β β I would give zero stars if I could.
Firstly JMAC have many positive reviews which is why I was willing to pay $150+GST to get a quote organised. They were prompt in coming to quote and provide the quote. However thats when things went bad.
To be given a very high quote with no itemisation is just laughable. As a business owner if I gave a single figure quote to a customer they would laugh at me. When I queried this they said the dont itemise quotes and gave an excuse about the insulation under the shed - however all conduit was to be external which was shown on the quote.
So while they are up front about their rates and (supposed) retail price of materials they hide behind a one liner with no transparency of what they are charging for.

β β β β β Jmac are very expensive and don't communicate clearly regarding their pricing.
I was sent an email stating apprentice labour charge was $68.50 and they charged $82. Apparently because he was a more experienced apprentice. They also charged me for electrical cord they didn't use. Happy with the work, very dissatisfied with admin side. VERY EXPENSIVE

β β β β β Highly recommend for that work you want done on your property. The service was on time. The hours calculated to do the work of 6 hours was exactly what we were charged. The JMAC team were efficient, pleasant and clean work place when they left. This the 3rd time we have used them.

β β β β β Our technician was fabulous. From calling to advise he was delayed right through to tidying his workspace at the end of the job. He was polite and helpful. He was also good company while working steadily through the long list and putting up with lots of disruptions. All electrical bits are working well now!

β β β β β First time using JMAC Electrical. Their online booking tool is great, super easy to book and had an electrician on site within 48 hours. I provided pictures of the outside light that was causing the problem and when the electrician arrived he had a replacement part with him. The electrician called to come in the morning to see if he could come around earlier, the job was booked for the afternoon, this suited us and within about 45 minutes the light had been replaced. Will be using JMAC Electrical again.
