★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely loved Karla for my toddler's haircut. She's got the magic touch to put my (usually very wriggly) little one at ease and give him a lovely haircut. Wouldn't go to anyone else! Thank you for making my son's first and second haircuts such lovely experiences, Karla!
Definitely recommend queueing online ahead of time or dropping in on weekday mornings, if you can, when there is usually less of a wait. Thankfully, Whitcoulls is usually a great place to spend 15 - 20 min with a little one.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went in and made an appointment and were told 120 minute. We waited 2 hours with our small children for our scheduled appointment. When we turned up 2 hours later we were told that we still needed to wait and they couldn’t tell us how long, maybe another few hours.
Shocking service, why give us a time and make us wait if it means absolutely nothing. We would come back in 3-4 hours if you could tell us but that’s not what we were told. I get you are busy but the least you could do is communicate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shocking!! Checked in on there system and was told a 45 minute wait. So we waited for an hour with my small daughter who was anxious about having a hair cut anyway. Went in an hour later and she just shrugged and said maybe another 50 minutes! Ridiculous system. Don’t waste your time

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve been here twice, generally satisfied. I’ve had regular haircuts, they’re attentive to what you want and need and it’s clear that’s their priority, they’re not just trying to get it done quickly to move the queue along. It’s worth the service. the waiting time tends to be longer than what the system tells you- I’ve waited about an hour or slightly more than that each time. That’s just how it is when it’s a no-appointment salon! I’m not too bothered so I just go prepared for that - go run errands while waiting or have a book handy. It wouldn’t work if you’re in a rush ; might be a bit stressful.

She was really friendly and efficient, especially as she was working by herself due to other staff being out with covid, it must have been a stressful day but she didn't let it show. 10/10 Thanks Mariel!
