★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was actually taking the dog for a swim in the Waimak River. But she Ana big fan of water. Threw the tennis ball and the current bought it back to her while she swam. Had a hard time getting her out. True story

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Could not spot any cafe as shown in google. But this is a very calm place, where you can go park your car close to waimakiri river and walk around. There is a place to unload your kayaks if needed at the other side of the river.
