★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is our local park and I love it. I love the fact that you can actually learn to identify native species from the many signposted boards. And that there are river and forest bits where you can pretend you are not 5 minutes from the mall. It's got enough secret spots and trails that you can explore for a good hour or two. But also has all the usual playground and grassy sections to accommodate any kind of recreation. A piece of real nature, green and quiet yet just a stones throw from the main road. The best part of this is it shows what community and dedicated effort by a visionary founder can achieve - this space was created by locals restoring degraded exotic forest and farm land over 25 years of hard work.
