★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Situated along SH2 north of Masterton in the Pukaha wildlife centre.You do not have to enter the wildlife centre to use this cafe.
The staff were friendly and it was busy.They serve hot food toasted sandwiches and fries to mention a few and homemade cookies.Nice local kawakawa tea with ginger and lemongrass.Coffee was weak.You can sit outside and watch the native birds but beware the kaka do approach you for food and there is a spray bottle to warn them away as they are already well fed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Getting fresh food mid afternoon and watching the birds soaring as we ate was wonderful. Excellent quiche reheated perfectly, fresh salad, great pie and great coffee. The service was excellent, friendly and helpful. We'll be back and highly recommended.
