★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although Kaponga has very little in the way of amenities or places of interest, it is a great little town with a lovely historic hotel. The hotel has recently been totally refurbished and is nothing like an old musty 19th century hotel / pub. The management was very friendly and we had a great meal. It was a great spot to stay before heading up to Dawson Falls.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a crumbd camonbert cheese for an entre and a steak meal for my main. For a pub meal this was fantastic. Great service, nice clean surrounds, a chef who knows how to cook a steak to perfection and beautiful free range eggs with it. The new owners will do extremely well if my first meal is anything to go by. Well done team you have completely satisfied customers.
