★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited this lovely home on a Sunday afternoon walk and found it even more beautiful, historic and interesting than expected. Our 10 year old son was a reluctant guest but the staff really engaged him and he was happy for nearly an hour doing an activity sheet, looking at the gardens and dressing up in clothes from the era.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An outstanding educational opportunity for young & old. Our whole family visited on Easter Sunday as our daughter had chosen to do a changemaker project on Kate Sheppard. Wow! So much info. We were blown away. We were delighted to win the Easter book competition too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a lovely addition to places to visit in Christchurch. The house and garden have been beautifully restored and the exhibits and information are really well presented. I visited with a small group of friends and had a guided tour. Our guides were well informed and allowed us plenty of time to look around.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The home has been beautifully restored and the staff are very knowledgeable on all facets of Kate Sheppards life. It was a treat to open drawers and cupboards and see the articles and information so well set out.
The shop had some lovely items for sale. This heritage home is well worth a visit.
