★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a beautiful forest with history of Kauri trees. Love these trees. It is really a short walk but you get to see a lot of these beautiful massive babies.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely fantastic. By chance we took a side road when we saw the sign, definately worth the gravel road journey. At every turn there was another huge Kauri. I highly recommend making the effort.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Standing in the Puteki Forest in silence with the occasional bird call and the wind in the trees was quite spiritual. I felt as if all the cares of the world just fell away. The short walk through this beautiful forest was surreal, especially standing and looking up at the majestic Kauri trees. It is a must do to experience this kind of forest in New Zealand.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This would have to be a one of shortest walking tracks in puketi forest but it's increasingly beautiful, in the short time I had there felt the closeness of Nature and loved hearing the bird calls, parking is easy and suitable for all ages, great boardwalk as you will see in my photos and videos.
