HRIA in Australia
The Hire and Rental Association has long shared in our ground-breaking plans for the industry. And true to form, our involvement has in no way been passive.
In 1967 Neville Kennard founded the Hire Association of NSW, and served as the inaugural President – with the vision of creating an industry body that kept members informed and fostered relationships amongst peers. Since that time, many of our team have been elected to senior and leadership roles within the now national body, the Hire and Rental Industry Association (HRIA).

Fifty years of ARA membership were marked in 2014, for Kennards Hire. Both Andy and Neville Kennard were among the earliest overseas ARA members, with Andy Kennard inducted in 2003 into the ARA Hall of Fame.

β β β β β I booked a car transporter trailer from Kennards Hornby branch in Christchurch. The trailer did not tilt and the ramps were too steep to load my rally car. The staff were too young and inexperienced to be of any use at all. I will NEVER use Kennards again. This caused me MAJOR problems and I am SERIOUSLY pissed off. If you want a car transporter trailer that is fit for purpose go to HIRE POOL. They have better trailers and more experienced staff.

Zack and Steve really came through for us when our sewage flooded our carport and we needed a port-a-loo urgently on Friday afternoon. Never had to organise anything like this before, and the guys were really helpful, gave us all the info we needed, and followed through with fantastic communication when the delivery truck was delayed. Always felt like they had it under control and it was one less thing to worry about on a stressful day. You guys rock, thank you so much!
