β β β β β I ordered today at Shirley KFC, what a terrible experience I had with them. Doors were shut without any notice at the door during lunch time. The only option was drive thru where cars were already queued up. When reached to order they were out of wicked wings. And little one had to eat fries only because she only like wicked wings. The food I ordered for my family was so unfresh. I can't imagine such big franchises are serving such food and making people sick badly. I had a very bad tummy ache after having meal from them. And couldn't bear to eat anything rest of the day. I understand there could be staff shortage or some other reason for shutting the door but plz atheist serve fresh food to customers because they are not getting it for free. 0 star

β β β β β Wouldn't normally comment on a fast food outlet like this, however these guys had queues out the door, drive thru was down the road and they were obviously very short staffed to cope with it, but they did and they did very well. Excellent work to the crew there ?

β β β β β KFC will care about these reviews as much as I care about when a bird craps on my car.. mild annoyance but no one is gonna gaf in the end.
Missed 6 items out of our order in December called up and had a big argument with the extremely rude manager about it but finally they put what we had missing down and said to come in and say it was in the book. Every time we went back they weren't open for walk ins so we could get what was missing due to covid and when they finally were open, they said it's been so long now and weren't willing to give what had been paid for. Argued again with the new manager who claimed it wasn't his responsibility and I waited too long but in the end got my stuff.
Said I would give 5 stars so here it is.

β β β β β They need to clean the seating area more often. Quite dirty with food all over the floor. Customer service could be much nicer and less gloomy too. Can often make mistakes with your order too. Otherwise the food is alright.

β β β β β Cannot select 0 stars. Made the mistake of visiting this store and eating in. At midday, the floor was so dirty our feet stuck to it. All of the floor! The tables hadn't been cleaned. Everywhere you look there is grime. The window sill next to where we sat was filled with dead flies.
The food was mediocre. Chips were dry and cold. No napkins, no utensils for potato and gravy. Half expecting to be sick later. Will not ever be returning.

β β β β β I now have an amazingly shiny and clean car after going through the drive-thru. Granted, I had to punch in a 6 digit code on the key pad and no one took my order before I went in AND I had to sit there while brushes etc swirled around the car...and I never got my KFC and fries. But still great cos now the cars clean. I will certainly be back.
Good idea of KFC to have drivers pay in the Z Station too.

β β β β β Very poor customer service. Most of the times they get orders wrong or donβt have food items left. One time I ordered chicken pieces and they told me they donβt have any because they have to make some. And then I answered thatβs fine I can wait. Luckily got them.. another time they didnβt get our online order. I tried to call them but it was hard to go through as they not keen taking phone calls. Also I noticed the staff find it challenging to provide a good customer service. Even Supervisors have poor CS skills. Dine in experience is unpleasant as if you have to clean the tables first.
The real reason why Im writing this is because of my todayβs order. First time I ordered via Uber eats as if I mentioned before it always causes errors when I ordered via their website so I end up driving there telling them my order didnβt go through on your own website.
Anyways this time it took them 1 hour and 30 minutes to make the order and it arrive in 1 hour and 40 minutes. They are known to be super slow at KFC Shirley. I assume the poor service they have performed before just bounced back even worse under the level 3 conditions.
Our drinks were warm (not refrigerated)
The chips were soggy and unseasoned
The chicken was dry but the worst:
My snack burger was filled with brown, soggy lettuce. I had to remove it. It didnβt look good anymore, most likely off..
This is highly inappropriate compared to what we paid for it. That was it. Never ever KFC Shirley again unless they decide to improve service and quality of this branch. I rather drive a bit longer and go to KFC Papanui.

β β β β β Some days its very tasty and others not so great. Last lot not so good. Chips were burnt and the box was only 3/4 full. Potatoe and gravy not full either.
3weeks later: waited in line for 20 mins to find they have no chicken, only wicked wings, we can adapt, we wanted a bucket so we get a pack of wicked wings but instead of having some deal for the slides we get charged for each slide making it super expensive. With an 1hr and a half til you shut at least put sign up saying you have no chicken, at the drive entrance.
