β β β β β Good food and prompt service even though it was busy. There was plenty of seating available both indoors and out. The disadvantage of sitting inside is that it is very noisy if there are many people in there as the sound bounces off all the hard surfaces. This can make conversation difficult. Concrete floors, wooden tables and metal chairs. Some play material for the young ones and a little play House outside.

β β β β β The cafe is not to the same standard it was before. At first I thought it was a one off however after multiple visits in the last few months I see this is now their new standard.
The service is very speedy, however both the quality and quantity of the food has dropped. I have been coming here for at least 7 years however I know no longer will be coming back here as the food is no longer worth coming for.

β β β β β Best cafe around and the only one we have found with a decent sized large coffee (500ml bowl)..
Been regulars for years but has just been taken over by Kings themselves. Fast service from a hard working and very pleasant staff.
Best home made winter soup anywhere.
Agree that it can be a bit too noisy due to the hard surfaces when very busy, but that is just about the only downside. Even when cool outside, blankets are available.
Dog friendly and one of the few places around that can cope with a fair sized group and no parking problems.

β β β β β This cafe is the one we visit the most and usually have decent meals, so looked forward to finally going back after the latest lockdown, arrived mid morning 3/12/21 and weren't many people, got to show our covid passport and found a table after ordering our food, totally changed layout and no menu on the wall but had printed basic menus to choose from.
We waited approximately 15 mins which is fine considering first day open.
1 meal was pulled beef withe mountain herbs? on flat burrito, needs a sauce/ chutney as beef dry and burrito a bit tough, this is a new meal which frankly they should bin, the other meal was eggs bene on bagel, with overdone bacon and an ok salad, the bagel was tough and dry, an English muffin would be a better choice.
Flat white was fine, the iced coffee really bland and not sweetened.
The original iced coffee used to be icy and really tasty, shouldn't have changed method
Overall not happy and now reluctant to return

β β β β β Iβve been to this cafe several times in the past, but today was the first since we came out of lockdown. I doubt I will go back. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her breakfast of vegetables and a parched egg, but my Eggs Bene was a shocker. It was served on a bagel, and I normally live bagels, but this one was really tough. A.one with it came the salmon I chose, quite a generous amount, but the salmon and the accompanying green salad on the plate were all served at room temperature instead of chilled. The lettuce was limp, the salmon didnβt taste good, and the best part was a well done poached egg.
Iβm not sure if there is just a new menu or new owners, but Iβd be reluctant to return.

β β β β β Lovely atmosphere, really enjoyed the creamy mushroom on the big breakfast plate.
The table was a little dirty, but was okay.
Muffin tasted as if it was freshly baked this morning.
The staff were nice and the coffee was great. A very popular place (family friendly too). Would recommend to friends and family.
