Before designing and installing kitchens, husband and wife team, Avesh and Susan were high-flying executives in the financial industry. So it might seem an unusual transition to go from banking to transforming kitchens. Coming back to Nelson to raise their kids was a huge factor, as was the desire to work face to face with people.
Avesh explained, "We both wanted to do something more fulfilling, and it doesn't get much better than designing stunning kitchens that add value to your home".
For Susan, it's even more personal, "I love Nelson and was born and raised here, to be able to work with local people and help them transform their home is a joy".

β β β β β This experience with Kitchen studios was extremely disappointing and highly stressful.
After our kitchen was ripped out it took two weeks to get a bench top as ours was damaged and delayed and we were offered no temporary bench top. (So no running water, sink or oven for this time) Then we got our bench top and it took 5 weeks for the rest of our kitchen to be completed to a functional level (it is still incomplete) Due to a design fault we had no accessible PowerPoint in the kitchen for this entire 5 weeks until the kitchen was finished. We had delay after delay, every time was us calling Ceryse and Ryan the project manager to ask what was going on. When we had our final install date I was so excited and then I was called that afternoon and told actually they wouldnβt be coming that day because now they didnβt have time so they would come the next day. (After being told we were high priority).
Many times communication between kitchen studios and the contractors did not happen (not removing pantry doors, not passing on our colour scheme to the glass suppliers, not looking at the Sparkie plans close enough to realise we would have no accessible power point due to the cabinetry) And we were left filling in the gaps and now we are in our 7th week and still donβt have a splash back (this was delayed due to the range hood not being installed in line with the bench, the colour we had chosen not being passed on by Ceryse and our jib being replaced differently to what we had originally been told)
I called to speak to someone who would hear my concerns, I was told Angela would call me back and then someone from management and no one bothered (I called twice).
Our concerns were absolutely not heard and we felt completely powerless through out the entire process. Very unhappy and saddened that this was my first renovation experience and I wish I had gone with someone else.
They were so nice and helpful during the design stage, even offering cool freebees (which we never received) but as soon as we had paid the bill in full we felt as though we were not only forgotten about but not cared about.
(Kitchen studios did issue us a sorry and a gift basket, and after 8 weeks now all of the finishing touches have been made and the kitchen looks great, still disappointed about the time frame but they did fix everything they intended too and our space is now complete) they have informed us they now have new procedures in place for communicating from now on to reduce the risk that new customers have similar experiences.

β β β β β I highly recommend Palmerston North Kitchen studio. Buying my first home and putting in a new kitchen made me very nevous. But they did it all for me. I sat back and watched my kitchen being installed. They even arranged the workmen to attend. A++++service and product. But most importantly stress free ?

β β β β β My husband and I had been wanting a new kitchen since we moved into our home 6 years ago. We were anxious having never done this level of reno before. We found Brian at kitchen studio not only easy to deal with but also on the same wavelength as us design wise. Our new kitchen has been installed and we can praise the team enough, it's so much more functional not to mention much more beautiful than we had imagined and we adore it. We would definitely recommend them and if we were ever in the position again (in a different home as this one is *chefs kiss) we would use them again in a heart beat.
