★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is not a good idea to walk from Piha Rd due to very steep return track. I suggest you go to falls from bottom i.e. using Glen Esk Rd at bottom of Piha Hill, which has carpark and toilet

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well maintained track which gets a bit steep in places. There are also stairs, so leave the push chair at home. The falls are well worth the walk. Absolutely beautiful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An amazing walk with a great path. A ranger to monitor people scrubbing feet for Kauri die back disease too which was great to see. Only disappointment was seeing how lazy some visitors had been leaving their rubbish in this stunning location

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Peaceful walk through beautiful forest with gorgeous waterfall at the end.
You can refresh yourself in one of the ponds on the top of the waterfall.
I wouldn't do much of refreshing at the bottom pond as we've spotted there few eels.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place to go for little 20 minutes walk and you will find this natural swimming pool but it's little bit risky as there are some othe living things that wants to enjoy this place too. Like eels, bees, wasps etc. I got bitten by something so be careful while you enjoy this place. That's my experience you might not encounter this things.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A definite must see...the walk is surrounded by beautiful trees and ferns. The climb to the waterfall is a hikers can do...definitely pack swimmers. A beautiful spot to embrace NZ's native Bush.

Some really interesting pieces of bush.
Well maintained paths. Enjoyable setting at the top of the falls and again at the bottom of the waterfall.
