★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very disappointed!! The new kiwi 1fzfe head arrived boxed, pre-assembled to my mechanics in Geelong quickly but there were problems with the build quality which caused delays. My mechanics found many of the shimms just were wrong. Some shimms required re-grinding and some were too thin. Who knows what else is bad with this head and its new cams?. I guess I will find out when it is back from the mechanic. Quality control from kiwi heads turned out to be bad.. This p#ssd both me and the mechanic off. I bought this pre assembled head to save time and money. l should have got my mechanic to rebuild the heads they can supply upon reflection, rather than get the kiwi product.
So now I have a LPG engine with poor valve clearances on a brand new head and behind schedule.
kiwi heads should come down and replace and set the shimms on my car for free. Gonna have to cancel my trip to outback next week because I cannot trust the head.
