Thank you for your interest. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing the beauty of Kohimarama and the many attractions Auckland and Aotearoa/New Zealand have to offer.
We are an international family with Sonia-Jane a Kiwi and Christoph born in Germany. We have two kids, daughter Acacia-Lilli and son River. After living in the UK, Europe and the Americas, we settled in New Zealand in 2001. Between us we have visited over 60 countries - so we have some experience as to what makes accommodation enjoyable and relaxing. We appreciate quality and service ourselves, and it is our ambition to reflect this in the accommodation and environment we offer.
We have also traveled extensively in New Zealand and enjoy passing on our insights on how to get the most out of Aotearoa. Any questions on traveling around our beautiful country, we're happy to help.
We speak English, German and Spanish - although language never seems to be a real barrier to making friends. So whatever your mother tongue may be, get in touch with us, stay with us and enjoy our hospitality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We only stayed one night at Kohi Beach BnB and it was perfect - but more than that our hosts went more than the extra mile for us. We had traveled to Mission Bay under the assumption there would be plenty of accommodation available - wrong! In desperation we rang the first BnB to come up on Google. They were closed but gave two numbers to contact. First number was also not open for the season. Then we rang Kohi Beach they too were not ready to take guests but asked if we could give them an hour they would have something ready for us. Such a lucky chance finding this lovely little self-contained BnB, private, quiet, nice view and friendly people. We would go back at the drop of a hat! Will recommend to friends.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in the garden apartment for a month during October and November 2015. We used the apartment as a base from which to visit family and to explore Auckland and the North Island.
It was ideal for what we wanted, close to the beach, an enjoyable stroll to the shops and entertainment at St Heliers and Mission Bay. There were many buses running straight into Auckland Centre, about a 15 min ride.
The accommodation was comfortable, very clean and well presented. The accommodation had all the basics for self catering, although cooking facilities are limited we managed to cater for ourselves throughout our extended stay.
The owners are very helpful, they even did our laundry on a number of occasions and loaned us an iron. If we needed anything or wanted to know anything about Auckland, they went out of their way to help.
The B&B worked well for us as a long stay base, but would also be ideal if you just wanted to stay a few days, in my view a better alternative to a hotel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After a long journey to Auckland, this was the perfect place to start our holiday. Modern and clean, free-standing and completely private. No noise apart from birds chirping. Great sea view and lots of space. Owners were friendly and helpful. Thanks for pointing us to the bistro in St. Heliers. Will come back at the end of our trip. Start here, finish here.
