★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After TPLO surgery to fix a cruciate ligament tear my dog Kyla was reacting a lot to touch on her back and leg. A vet/acupuncturist suggested seeing a chiropractor. After being recommended by another dog owner I saw Chris. I saw results after the first visit. A few what seemed like minor adjustments made a big difference. I had a full post op plan, including physio, hydrotherapy, massage, acupuncture, supplements, exercises and the chiropractic care complimented it all nicely, in my opinion it is one of the most important parts of the post op care as there is no point fixing the muscles if the skeletal system is not aligned.
As Kyla was very sore when she started she was reactive to touch in certain areas and often told Chris off by barking, Chris handled her well and you could tell he had lots of experience with the bigger dogs especially shepherds.
On our second visit to Chris, Kyla jumped straight into the car – something she hadn’t done for a year. The movement in her back has improved and she is now not sensitive to touch meaning she is not in pain. I would recommend chiropractic care to any dog that has had an injury or is experiencing behavioural issues which may be from some hidden pain.
I find the whole team at Kumeu Chiropractic very friendly, welcoming and professional.
