★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a lovely peaceful lake on the outskirts of Hamilton. Dogs on leads welcome, duck shooting in season, picnic tables and public toilets available. 1 hour easy walk around the lake. Gates shut at dusk. All rubbish to be taken away. Waterskiing and jet boating allowed in designated areas. Camping prohibited.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic for walking around the lake as an exercise centre. Well kept pathway. Very close to Lake so adequate child care is needed. Overall, well worth the walk around.
No catering available but an awesome situation for peace & quiet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice free place for a walk. 3.2km gravel path right around the lake with toilets and picnic area a couple of hundred meters in a clockwise direction from car park. If you're into our endemic birds you'll find a couple of dabchicks which usually hang out on the north and northwest parts of the lake.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice place for picninc or a walk, took us around 50 minutes to go around the lake. My baby jogger went well on the gravel trail. Many things to look at. Great for kids. Not many people are there. Restrooms are available but there is no playground
