β β β β β Went for the first time this season to pick strawberries with the kids & they now charge $3.50 p.p to pick, so came away with extremely expensive strawberries! Plus the way they weigh the fruit when you have your own containers is questionable. Wish we'd eaten a whole lot more than the 1 each! We will no longer support this business and will take the kids to pick elsewhere.

β β β β β My first apple picking experience! Just pay a small fee at entrance and take own sweet time to pluck at the orchard.
Novelty for those who have not pluck apples (or plums) before. If I had brought my kids along, they would have a Fun day too!

β β β β β They're at the end of their picking but the fruit was lovely and they sell real fruit icecreams and some new Zealand made jams, pickles dressings and sauces

β β β β β The kids really enjoyed picking big delicious Strawberries!! And topped off with a creamy icecream!! Very well priced for a cheap day out and to get your strawberry fix!!!

β β β β β The old fruitdale is gone, its a bit run down now. What hours is it open? Who knows, it wasn't open 3:30pm Saturday in March. Maybe add the opening hours on Google? And update the fruitdale facebook page? For now, try ringing to see if they are open, if there is no answer they are probably closed.

β β β β β This place was great but now it is quite run down. What fruit they have is good and fresh but just as expensive as the supermarket. Their pick your own fruit and berries are worth doing if you want a larger amount

β β β β β Not as flashy as the farm in Ruakura but the berry picking experience is the same. Juicier strawberries that are not very sweet but none were sour either. Flavourful taste and good sized, in my opinion. Ice cream options and a small selection of other fruits such as plums and apricots are also available.
