β β β β β Lovely cottage, with a beautiful view of the lake and a cool paddock with cute sheep. It's reasonably clean and very tidy. Decoration is a bit tired but still very cosy. Mattress is very soft though. Kitchen and lounge are really nice. The hosters are great!

β β β β β Very clean. Nice views. One house with the bedrooms let individually. Shared cooking facilities. Yoghurt, fruit salad, cereal and toast for breakfast. Comfortable bed. Must have own transport. Nice swimming in the lake nearby. Also a vineyard with good coffee and delicious pizza about 10 minutes drive.

β β β β β Great place at a very reasonable price! Perfect for our overnight stop en route to Wellington.
Has the feel of a real kiwi bach. We stayed in the self-contained cabin which has great views of the lake and sunset. The main house, is well-appointed with a proper kitchen for guests to use and a spacious lounge, plus lots of information about activities in the region. The hosts (who live in separate premises on site) are very welcoming, and the sheep love to be fed bread!

β β β β β Very nifty place to stay. All the comforts of a home, the shower room is fabulous and massive, the kitchen fully functional. The lounge and dining is moderately comfy. Our hosts were very friendly and chatty. I would recommend Lakeview Cottage to others
