★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An awesome stay for 1 night on our way from Wellington to Auckland. All necessities were met and the provided breakfast was sufficient. Located right next to the lake only 2 minutes walk away and a short distance away from town centres, you get stunning views of the stars on a clear night. Tony was a wonderful host and a pleasure to talk to.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tony is an amazing host. He is very entertaining and knowledgeable on the local area. The facilities are clean and maintained daily. There are two toilet cubicles and two shower cubicles, each cubicle has its own locked door. These are shared among all the guests. Ample parking is available within the premises. Tony makes a mean breakfast. For a fee, he can also provide lunch and dinner if needed. Overall, he was very generous and helpful in every capacity. We wouldn't have found such amazing sights to see in Taupo if it wasn't for his local recommendations!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great night's stay at Tony's place. Tony is very friendly and a great host. Very chatty and put us at ease. Bedding included electric blankets which was very cosy. Breakfast was included and was excellent. The tarpaulin outside is great for kids to play and enjoy. The only thing which I wish is that Tony would accept credit or debit cards or other non cash methods of payment too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We loved our night stay at Tony's Lodge. Bunk bed was the highlight for our kids, so we booked it and were happy with our decision.
Tony is a good host and I enjoyed sharing couple of beers with him.
Neat & clean place. Recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The cozy and friendly atmosphere - the owner is nice, bubbly and helpful. He always communicate with us to make sure if everything is okay. The bedroom and the bathroom were clean. Kids enjoyed the trampoline at the courtyard. Poached egg in the breakfast was nice. Will be back when I am heading to the South!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tonys friendly nature, he was very welcoming he asked us to join him and his friends on the deck for drinks. We didn't because we had a long drive and had another the following day, so we went to bed early. He was very accommodating with our small dog. Nithing was a problem. The breakfast laid out the next morning looked lovely though we skipped breakfast to hit the road early. Will be back next time we are pasting through. Thank-you again Tony.

He makes everyone welcome, we feel at home. Tony owns a lovely warm, Lockwood lodge, puts on a great 2 course breakfast and his prices are very competitive.
All the family are welcome, from babies, to great grandparents.
Thanks Tony for an awesome weekend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful accomodation and very lovely and friendly owner who was very happy about the return of international tourists. At that time, we were the only guests, but we were given extremely good service, delicious food, good advice for hiking. I can highly recommend it to anyone. :-)
