Recommend looking elsewhere if you want quality workmanship and customer satisfaction, The sales manager has a conflict of interest with a trust and lies about what is contracted to supply as in paving around the house leaving it dangerous to access and lies to the council to achieve compliance and the franchise holder won't take ownership of issues like frozen water pipes within the home, cheap light fittings and switches failing, and poor quality gib finish they said would be repaired Highly recommend using a more professional brand or even better a trusted independent builder who stands by their product not lies

People say that building a new house is hard. So we got Latitude Homes to build ours. It was all so easy and Kurt, Manu & Jess at Latitude South were all great to deal with. The hardest thing for us was deciding on all of our colours, but they provided us with time to spend with a consultant. this was so much help with our final decisions. We were offered some great advice regarding our build and in the early stages, tips for looking at sections to build on. Even when we made changes during the build process there was never any hassle and they still finished before the deadline.

Do yourself a huge favour, and use Latitude Homes with Manager Kurt Laurie and his team to complete your house build. I cannot recommend Latitude or Kurt higher. A dream combination of an amazing kitset price with high quality fixtures and fittings, including Bosch appliances, and great service with prompt delivery. Kurt could not have been more help, and was a calm and reliable source of advice amongst the many difficulties I encountered from others. I only wish I'd taken advantage of the Latitude Build option, so that I could have left the project management and tradie coordination to him. The Latitude Build option will cost you far less over the long-term, and your house will be built without the delays that are otherwise inevitable. Ask anyone who has had a house built, and they will give you a nightmare list of problems, costs and delays they encountered. Whenever my colleagues asked how the house was going I would reply, "Like Game of Thrones". Use the Latitude Build option if you want to avoid this scenario, and have a seamless, problem-free experience.

We have recently finished building with Kurt and Jess from Latitude in the South Island. To say we have been impressed is an understatement. We have been blown away by their patience, attention to detail and consideration for our family and this whole experience for us. Manu the project manager has been incredible and all the contractors on time and professional. From the signing of the contract with a bottle of bubbles and a ‘how to build a house’ book for the kids to fortnightly progress updates with photos and then finally the most amazing gift basket on key handover. We have come in under budget and into our home two weeks early. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making this such an enjoyable experience and creating a beautiful new family home for us. Disappointed with Latitude homes building a home is suppose to be an exciting time and I do realise not everything goes smoothly especially when you build in the middle of a pandemic. We went with latitude because they had a design we liked and Chris being a builder we thought a kitset would be the best option for us! We were encouraged to pay for the kitset in full rather than progressive payments which I think this was our biggest mistake but we did know there was going to be a material supply shortage and everything was suppose to be ordered at the time of the invoice being paid. Council Consent process didn’t go smoothly it was difficult communicating with so many different people took about 6 months. When the consent went through we received none of the documentation, consent forms, building specifications etc later on the branch manager did agree with me that the building specs should be with the builder ( go figure ) they did eventually courier them down to us. The quality of the frame work was terrible nothing lined up and took a good couple of days to fix. Communication terrible not once have we been asked how our build is going, offered no consultation or advice. We were told in February that we would have no GIb board until the end of June this should have been ordered back in November lucky we went to Mitre 10 Mega and got all the gib we needed for the house. Latitude did refund us for the gib. Couldn’t get an answer when the roofing iron was going to turn up. The branch manager did offer to come visit us after I sent an email of complaint but he did not know where to come as there was no site address on file despite them needing the rapid number to apply for consent. He took no responsibility for anything and still won’t blames everyone else for things going wrong even me the client. It doesn’t end there our house sat for 6 weeks with no cladding on it because ITM had no corner flashings or mouldings in stock even though mitre 10 had heaps. I rung ITM to say if they couldn’t supply them I would go to mitre 10 and get them, the ITM manager then called our construction manager at latitude and said he was confused as to why I was going to mitre 10 mega to get my corner flashings, construction manager rings me and proceeds to tell me they are both confused as to why I’m going to mitre 10 mega. I tell them to have the corner flashings to me by the weekend or I would go to mitre 10 mega. Construction manager then rings me back to say my best option would be to go to Mitre 10 mega and get them, still haven’t seen a refund for the things we paid for but haven’t got. Our house is now completed but we have no kitchen because latitude didn’t book it in despite me weeks ago saying we needed it. On top of this they will not deliver our fire which should of came on a truck with the kitchen and bathroom appliances the freight was included in our kitset price it was not our fault they cannot communicate or coordinated anything. Very stressful process I do not recommend there are way better more professional company’s out there than these guys!
