Nice activity for a day out that's not too far from Hamilton. Take a hat and sunscreen if picking on a hot day!

A great spot during summer, you can take aesthetic photos for the gram. $10 for a jar, you can fill a lot! Another must try is THE BLUEBERRY ICECREAM with a tinge of lavender!!! It’s so good I had it twice! And most of all the owners are the nicest people!

Nice surprise on your way home. You're able to cut a jar full of flower stems here to take home and there are plenty of soaps and other handmade gifts available. Perfect place to stop and get some great photos.

Had a great time, you get way more lavender then you think you will when you start picking. Topped it off with a blueberry frozen yogurt cone that had a hint of lavender. Yummy.

Entrance fee to the farm is 10 dollars and you can book ahead on their website. This lavender farm is right next to the highway so you might capture cars and line post in your background when your are taking photos. The farm is small and few parking slots available. They charge 10 dollars for lavender picking. They also have blueberry picking inside the farm, pick all the berries you want and they will charge by the weight but you can eat as many as you like while picking without charge. They have a small gift shop with lots of lavender items. They sell blueberry & strawberry ice cream which you can choose between a vanilla or frozen yogurt base. There is no cafe in the area so you need to eat before going there or find a place in cambridge or hamilton to eat after visiting.

I had such a lovely time at Lavender Backyard Garden. The place is absolutely awesome ?. You can smell the lavender all the way from the carpark and down the street ? They do require people to make a booking ? but only so that they can manage the numbers under the current traffic light ?Since it wasn't too busy, I was able to slip in, but others might be disappointed when they get here. It costs $6 to enter, which goes towards maintenance, and which I don't think is too expensive for the experience ? It's not very big, but it is big enough to have a fabulous time ? There are benches, so you can have a lovely picnic, or buy some coffee from the caravan and enjoy the sweet smells while sipping some delicious coffee ☕ They have a great little shop that sells all sorts of lavender products that is made on site ? I wanted to buy everything! The ladies are very friendly and helpful ? Bonus: There is also a huge blueberry orchard, and you can go blueberry picking ?? How fantastic is that?! They also sell yummy blueberry ice cream, with a hint of lavender?

I've never gotten so up close and personal with friendly, busy bumble and honey bees before, but it was nice and relaxing. Wife and sister loved collected their own bunch of lavender, and I more liked the meditation, photo taking, and ... their fresh blueberry ice cream / frozen yoghurt hehe. Unfortunately we missed the season for blueberry picking, but next time we'll come a little early.

My grandchildren were unmindful of the bees up close and personal, loved their ice cream and take note very affordable. We enjoyed our blueberry picking and eating as well. Place is not wide enough but lovely and very accessible along the road. Owners are hand on on their business hence customer service is at its best. Recommended ?
