★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time riding in Glenorchy, i came with a group of 5 of whom 3 were nervous riders and were first timers. I would 10/10 recommend lighthorse adventures! Unlike many other treks, lighthorse adventures gives a wonderful introduction to your horse, and also spend time to teach us the basics which helped build the confidence of those who were nervous. The ride itself was absolutely stunning! The river crossings, the view and the knowledge shared by the guides. We had Brooke and Tereza and they were fantastic. They really looked after the group and were constantly checking in on those who were more nervous. Everyone was grinning from ear to ear by the end of the ride, and my friends were so much more relaxed. The horses are fantastic, well loved by lighthorse adventures and happy, calm and gentle. Will definetly come back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved this experience so much and so did all my friends… It was a memorable and magical time riding the horses through some truly pristine and majestic terrain! Best part was the multiple river crossings along the Dart River… It’s a well-run, well-organised, well-inspired ride that is focused on the wellbeing of the horses and how they treat and train the horses is so respectful, caring and intuitive that it makes the whole experience truly inspiring!

The ladies were lovely and very knowledgeable of the areas on our trek and the horses were well trained, happy and healthy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic full day ride with Lighthorse Adventures. The whole thing from start to finish was great, and I especially loved the way we were taught to deal with the horses, like getting to know them and building rapport to be able to better enjoy the experience and have more control. Its different to other places Ive been to, and it just feels like a better experience and the horses are treated with kindness. The scenery is stunning of course, and the guides take the time to address your needs and help you out. I can highly recommend this place for beginners and experienced alike, I will be going there in the future again for sure! Thanks for an awesome day!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful Morning Out. Lovely horses. The tour guides were wonderful and as a first time rider, I learnt a lot about horses. Very educational. Ride was comfortable, crossing rivers, tried trotting. This farm truly cares about its horses and their well-being. Great fresh open air, wonderful views.
Highly recommend for first time riders.
