Lisa has supported my husband and I through 2 successful pregnancies and births (we even chose Lisa from out of area for baby 2 because we loved her so much) is professional, fun, experienced and calm. We were able to enjoy each stage because we were well informed, though didnt feel pressured to do things we weren't comfortable with. Thank you Lisa for being a part of our family!

Lisa is an extremely knowledgable, supportive and dedicated LMC! Unquestionably amongst the best in the business. We couldn't be more grateful that she walked our journey beside us. We can't imagine ever having another baby without her on our team! It was a bumpy road at times but she is extremely quick to act in the best interest of baby and Mama! We always felt confident and comfortable that we were receiving top quality care. Our son had the best possible chance coming into this world simply because Lisa was in his corner! Thank you Lisa, a million times over!

I would recommend Lisa highly to anyone if you ask me. Our baby was born during Covid and in that harsh time when no one could visit us, Lisa was like a god mother to us. Not even she assisted me with all her heart and soul before delivery, but gave me great postnatal care even with her knee surgery happening at the same time. Lisa takes her cases very seriously and would go above and beyond to help people. If you ask me, I really feel she was my mother when I was far away from my own. She is just amazing!

Lisa has been a great midwife. She helped us through the ups and downs of baby's first 6 weeks. She is kind, caring, understanding, responsive and very knowledgeable. Nothing but praise for her.

This is an open letter about my experience with my midwife Lisa Tattely, Lisa was my midwife in 2021. From the outset Lisa was friendly, open, honest and clear in her communication. Over the course of my pregnancy Lisa worked empowered me to make decisions by listened to my choices and supported me in the decisions I was making. Lisa was informative, answering my questions and offering advise as I needed. Lisa’s flexible, nurturing, kind manner has made it very easy for myself and family to develop a great relationship with Lisa. Towards the end of my pregnancy and postnatally we ran into a few complications smack bang in the middle of Level 4 lock down and Lisa went above and beyond to help and support both me and my partner. Lisa is diligent in all aspects of her work, making referrals, following up on my needs, meeting me at home and most importantly being available to talk too. On a number of occasions supporting us late in the evening and being in contact over the weekends. I hadn’t realized how much I needed Lisa until I was in active labour. I can vividly recall becoming anxious and stressed whilst being induced all of which calmed when Lisa arrived. I knew that Lisa would help me and ensure the safe arrival of our daughter. Postnatally Lisa has been a life line to all 3 of us, especially as all our family are on the South Island and there travel exemptions declined. During the first week postnatally I developed sepsis, thanks to Lisa’s quick actions treatment was started quickly preventing the situation deteriorating further. Lisa has continued to see us in person throughout the lock down and post the initial postnatal period to ensure we continued to have support and care that we need. As we come to the end of our official 6week postnatal period we want to express our eternal thanks to Lisa for the support, guidance and care she has provided. We highly recommend Lisa and without a doubt will want Lisa to be our midwife for our future children. Kayleigh Shaw

In June 2021, my partner and I found out we were expecting our first baby. Finding a midwife was quite tricky until I came across Lisa and her glowing reviews. A week and a half after our first appointment together, I called her for advise in regards to the sudden cramping and light bleeding I started to have. I was nervous, scared and worried. When Lisa answered my call I was meet with a person who was clearly not in the mood to really talk to me stating β€œ I’ve been up for over 24 hours”. Once I started to tell her about what I was experiencing she simply said to me β€œ yeah that sounds very sinister, you should go to A&E or the hospital” followed by β€œI’m sorry, good luck”. After finishing the phone call I broke down in absolute disbelief for, not only what was beginning to happen in my pregnancy but also in how rude, uncaring and hurtful my β€œsupposed” midwife was. Unfortunately we did lose our baby a few days after and I NEVER ever heard from Lisa. Lisa did not bother to follow up with me as her patient; not even a simple how are you doing, are you ok? I truly believe that because I was so early in my pregnancy she did not see my pregnancy to be as important as those who were in their second or third trimester and Lisa has proven that by failing to do her job and check up on me. Fast forward to Wednesday (13/4/22), 10 months after we last spoke, I receive a text message from Lisa (clearly intended for someone else, must of gotten people mixed up) asking β€œ Hi just checking you are not booked in today?” This woman is completely unprofessional and quite frankly I was disgusted to receive this text message. Pregnancy is such an exciting but nervous experience and woman deserve a midwife who is actually going to care about them and their baby regardless of what trimester you are in, and for me, Lisa did none of that. I hope nobody else ever has to experience that level of disappointment and loneliness because of this woman and her unprofessionalism.

I am deeply grateful to Lisa for her care as my midwife in 2021 and I highly recommend her. It is hard to express in words how wonderful and caring she was during pregnancy, birth and in the first weeks with a newborn baby. I experienced severe mental health issues after a traumatic birth, and she basically saved my life. She helped with all her technical knowledge and experience; but beyond that, she was empathetic, she truly cared and listened to me. And that made all the difference. While many health professionals focus mostly on the baby after birth, Lisa works hard to also ensure the wellbeing of new mothers in this delicate moment when we are very vulnerable. She is flexible, she adapts the plans to your needs and she empowers you with knowledge to make your own informed decisions. I wish there were more health professionals like Lisa!
