About Us
Longwood Gardens was the millennium project for Yvonne & Peter Long. While the builders were building their new home in 2000, the Longs were busy planting and planning the gardens, What used to be a horse paddock with 15 pine trees at the back of the 3.5 acre property, it has been transformed into the beautiful gardens they are today. The contractors who were excavating the foundations showed Yvonne how to operate the heavy machines they were using, so she took a couple of days off work and proceeded to dig the pond, then moved piles of dirt to the front of the section for the two raised garden beds.
