About Lynmore Primary School
We live in a digital age where people, including children, communicate using a range of digital devices. As our children engage more in the online world there needs to be a raised awareness of the Cybersafety issues that our children, families, school and community now face.
'Netsafe' (www.netsafe.org.nz) states that... "Cybersafety refers to safe and responsible use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)." For Lynmore students, these technologies may include use of iPads, computers, phones, internet, email, apps, and other online tools.
Here at Lynmore School we believe that digital devices and the internet are powerful tools for education. While we are committed to supporting our students with learning how to use these tools in responsible and safe ways, we recognise the reality that developing safe behaviours works in partnership with home. We strongly feel that this shared responsibility between home and school is a must to ensure the online safety of our children.
Ideas for cybersafety include:
- Maintain a positive approach about the many benefits brought by technology
- Identify the risks associated with using digital devices and the internet
- Put in place strategies to minimise and manage risks (e.g. when and where devices can be used, what apps/websites are allowed).

β β β β β Lynmore school has provided my kids with extra curriculum activities at lunch break, the children can participate in multiple sports activities. The school does a lot for conservation and they also provide the children with awesome experiences and take them on amazing school trips, such te puia, thermal research, overnight hikes to hot water beach at Lake Tarawera and over night stays at local marae and Mokoia Island. They also have before and after school activities such as boxfit and mountain biking. The school has something for everyone and they really utilize the community and the natural beautiful area in which we live. We feel our kids are very privileged.

β β β β β I went to this school as a year one, and I missed it very much after we moved. I really appreciated the inclusive playgrounds, and teachers who are really friendly and inclusive with their students. Awesome gym, lots of fun to be had at lunchtimes. Lots of classrooms that also interact, and students at this school are all inclusive and cheerful. I miss this school very much, by far the best school I've ever been to or seen.
