★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately our experience here wasn't great. My partner had gone to get some food and came back only to discover missing fish. We went back and they were going to cook us another one while our current food was getting cold. I gave them an option to either cook all our stuff again or give my money back and we go elsewhere. After some back and forth they decided to refund us. Not what we expected or wanted. Others need to check your order before leaving the shop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pleasantly surprised! I haven’t been for quite a long time. I used to visit when Colin owned the business and haven’t been back since. I was very pleased to see the current owner still makes his own chips, offers wet fish (and will cook it) and also separates the fish into a little tray. Great to see that the current owner hasn’t skimped on these things as it’s what makes Macs special.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Taste fantastic. Oysters tasty, very fresh, with light crispy batter perfect. Chips same. Only hitch I ordered 8 oysters, and was at least 2 short, rang shop, and owner offered two free ones now or next order.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not that great. Tastes like old oil was used. Batter was floury but the fish was nice, chips were dry. The pots of tomato sauce are over priced especially for poor quality of the sauce.
