The only negative is the fact all of more expensive jackets are chained up meaning you can't try any of them on without finding someone to unlock them for you. The hassle leads you buy the cheaper jackets or go across the road to Kathmandu instead. Surely you could come up with a more customer friendly option than chaining them together?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love macpac gear, the trekker shorts are probably one of the most versatile and comfortable items of clothing I own. The seemingly random layout of clothing is a bit frustrating. I wish they were sorted by garment type, like pants/shorts/jackets etc instead of whatever system they use now. I asked the staff to find an item for me and 2 of them looked for about 15 minutes before giving up, and then my partner found it on a table on display.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came in for exactly what we wanted and under budget too! We were checked out by a lovely lady who was perky and chatty and very good at up selling. Sadly I wasn't too invested in what she was upselling but her skills were top notch.
Lovely warm environment, lots of choice and great prices too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quality of clothing and gear very good and it's nice to support a local NZ company in ghd competitive market of outdoor clothing & equipment - I had to get a range of clothing for my teenage daughter and owing to her personal colour and style preferences we shopped at Macpac Willis Street for some of the items needed as found girls clothing to be in limited range and stock at the other competitor stores - we got a very good discount with a school discount code and left very happy with the purchases and quality of items - raincoat, thermal longs, shorts, polar pullover. Without a discount the items are quite pricey but quality and fitness for purpose can't be faulted.
