About Made.It
Made it began as an inspired thought.
Local artist Melina Martin saw an empty space for rent while walking on Victoria street back in 2011 and thought...
"I wonder if anyone would like to open a New Zealand made shop with me?"
That night she drafted an email to a collective of Wellington creatives and hesitated a moment before she hit... Send.
A collective was created.
Now after many configurations and late night renovations, Made it is now run exclusively by Melina.
As well as creating her own range of art based products, Melina hand picks a fantastic collection of beautifully made, high quality Art and Design from over 65 different small independent businesses from around the country.
Everything in store is made right here in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful shop full of craft work by local artisans. I first stopped by on a day that had turned cold, when my baby was little and I'd forgotten his hat at home. I found a lovely colorful knitted cap that fit perfectly and kept him cozy for months after. Do recommend for gifts for the whole family.

Staff are very friendly and helpful in finding the ideal present.
Found the ideal stuffed toy mouse with crinkly ears and internal bell ball. My friends new born daughter is going to absolutely love it.
