★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mahinepua is a uniquely tranquil halfmoon shaped bay with outlooks towards the Cavalli islands. It's point offers a moderate intensity hike, walking shoes recommended. The beach has single unisex composting toilets for public use. There is also a private Iwi cemetery and campground run and maintained by local Iwi, a Koha or donation is expected for staying to use the campgrounds and the composting toilets onsite through the gated area at the southern end of the Bay.
Highly recommend this idyllic spot.
Campground in high demand over peak summer season

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hikes to the end for a fantastic view. A bit of up and down but kids can do it. Nice little beach half way.
Sea urchins are eat to get off the beaches and the tour is delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spent two nights camping there which you can do if you phone first to make a booking and they have space available it was a fantastic spot right on the water. A bit cold for swimming at this time of the year but did go fishing and walked out to the trig station at the end of the peninsula. Just a great place to visit make sure you do it sometime
