★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice scenic spot to stop and sit for a few minutes. Seems pretty busy but nice to stop and sit on a bench, in the sand, on the grass, on the ledge. It smells a bit like fuel because of the boats unfortunately but not too bad. Close to lots of parking and all the shops in this area. We paid $2.50NZD for parking. It’s $2 every half hour but there was a .50 charge.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really nice harbour with great views and relaxing atmosphere! It is very windy here so remember to bring a windbreaker or jacket. Sometimes, there will be live band playing in this area. There are plenty of activities to do here too, eg shark jetting where you get to sit a “submarine” shaped like a shark. There’s also jet boats to zoom around the harbour. A few pop up food stalls are available to purchase light snacks. Plenty of restaurants here too. Visit during sunset for an amazing view!
