I really enjoyed the smooth ride on the boat and having a peak in the engine room was fascinating! Beautiful views during the cruise and at the destination. The lunch was brilliant and we even had some time to watch a working dog show and go pet the farm animals. An amazing day! Thank you!

The ship itself is history. Amazed by the engine. food and drink can be bought on board. warm inside but bringing a jacket is recommended if you want to stay outside the ship. best combined with bbq buffet lunch. excellent staff.

Been on the Earnslaw a few times now, it’s always a pleasant ride. Would definitely recommend sitting outside on the top deck (if it’s a nice day) or at the back of the ship on the lower deck is another nice little spot if the weather isn’t so great. It stops at Walter Peak station where you can have a buffet BBQ lunch or dinner (both are very tasty), go on a farm tour where they demonstrate sheep shearing and herding, or on a short 40 min horse trek which offers some gorgeous views of the area (and is suitable for people who have never been on a horse before). Otherwise you can opt for just the boat ride which takes about 1.5 hours there and back.

Beautiful old vessel. Perfect way to get around the lake. Indoor and outdoor seating over two levels. Bar and snack facilities on board. Toilet at the stern. Peer down into the Engine room and boiler.

Highly recommend this boat trip. Such beautiful way to see the lake. You can peer down into the inner workings of the steamer from the main cabin and even walk along a little gangway right above the ship hands that are stoking the engine. So cool! It also gets you out of the hustle of Queenstown for a brief moment so that's always good.

What an experience! If you are visiting Queenstown this must be on the top of your list. The boat is incredible, cruise across the lake. We did the farm tour with High Tea and it was beautiful. The farm is immaculate and the high tea was tasty. Every staff member we met along the way were super knowledgeable and helpful. Real NZ go above and beyond to ensure you have a good time. Could not recommend this enough!

We found a nice spot below deck as it was rather busy. We ordered some drinks and enjoyed the stunning views. A really neat boat to walk through and rewind time. You can see the engine operating and the captain gives some great stories also. Great bar staff who are very attentive and make yum food. Recommend this to anyone who visits qt

Thank you TSS Earnslaw and Walter Peak Farm for the most AMAZING day!! 45min cruise each way with piano and singing, coffee/drinks and nibbles available to purchase on board. Spectacular views and bbq buffet on arrival. So many delicious desserts. Staffed all waving at us and even got a sheep/dog show. Beautiful gardens. A MUST DO if in Queenstown. This is my second time ??
