quote Not too bad a place for Asian food. Tastes fine, not perfect but perfectly acceptable and pricing is good for what you get, assume around $15 and it won't be too far off. Portions are fine, my benchmark is whether I walk out looking for more food to top up (which happens more often than it should) and here, I felt quite content when I left. Putting this into context, I'm a slim person of average height, so I'm not a glutton by any means. I had Hokkien Mee here, which is savoury wet fried egg noodles with seafood in a dark soy sauce with a slight caramel sweetness. The original Hokkien Mee should be thick egg noodles in a dark soy sauce gravy, but they use thinner noodles. However, taste is acceptable and in fact better than a well-known Malaysian restaurant nearby on The Terrace, which served me an insipid creamy pale plate of "Hokkien Char" the last time I was there, although I suspect many customers there wouldn't know it wasn't right. Seating is limited so get there early or take your chances and be ready to wait a little. Sharing a long table is the norm and the right thing to do here when busy. Those used to South East Asian street food will find this place acceptable without being exceptional. I'd have no objection to eating here again.

Good value for money for great, freshly cooked food. Staff are friendly and helpful, especially what is on every menu item. The 5 dumplings for $10 is excellent value. Decor is basic but works well for the lunch crowd with monochromatic artwork on the high walls. You can sit and watch the terrific kitchen staff prepare your meal while also taking in the view from Lampton Quey. If ordering something spicy, it will have heat but will be done authentically. The cold drinks do help if you did spicy a little too much.

My first time trying this place, I got the nasi goreng. The service was really quick. It was good value for money, a decent amount of chicken and prawns in there. The chicken was really delicious, it tasted like it had been marinated. Overall it wasn't bad, but it was a little bit bland for my taste. I took it home and added a drizzle of sweet soy sauce and some chilli powder and it was awesome! I think next time I'll just ask for them to make it a little spicy. Keen to try more of the menu.

The taste was good, services were warm and especially prices were reasonable. Recommend to have a lunch or takeaway.

Sadly, this place seems to have gone downhill. Char Kway Teow used to be savory, delicious, with slices of Chinese sausage - now it is a wet bland yellow pile of noodles in bland yellow sauce. Today, I ordered the Pad Thai - another bland pile of yellowish noodles.

A mix of Japanese cheerful fast food which unusually has large portions and a mix of noodle bowl ? food to sushi and fried favourites like squid ? balls on a stick. The staff are helpful and friendly. Would go back and try other Sushi ? ?
