★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a greattt with friends and family. Eating, laughing, joking, dancing and some were swimming. But you won't see me in the water.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Get there before 8am in Summer. One of the best all around beaches in south Auckland.
The main problem is it's popularity and the fact that groups of people arrive really early and set up tents, streaming out their 'reserved' areas.
This means there's often no room on the beach at all.
On hot days it's nuts! You're better off elsewhere!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stunning. Amazing peaceful place. Small local shops very close by which is handy. Plenty of public toilets.
Breath taking views. There a plenty as you travel around. If in Auckland and you have not been yet it is worth the trip for an hour or more. Great place to have a BBQ or picnic.
